What does a pediatric expert witness do?
A pediatric expert witness reviews the available medical evidence, evaluates relevant standard-of-care and causation questions, identifies limitations or alternative explanations, and communicates the medical issues clearly to counsel and, when required, the court. That work includes reviewing the records in context and explaining the medicine in plain language. Dr. Gupta is dual board-certified and remains in active clinical practice at Children's Hospital of New Orleans.
